Smangaliso Magwaza, our DPS Spelling Bee representative from Gr. 6M, who made it through to Round 4 out of 5 in the Inter School contest. Her final word to spell was the challenging word “arrhythmia.” Well done Smangaliso – we are very proud of you and Thank you to Mrs. Chetty who accompanied her.

SP Sports Day

This was a most enjoyable and fast paced event with the Marlin house being awarded the winning house trophy and the Dolphin house having the best spirit. Well done athletes. These top athletes will be in serious training for the Inter-schools Athletics meeting on 30 August. Well done to all the SP coaches and staff for your contribution to the day’s success and to Mr. Pierce for the co-ordination and training.

DPS has Talent

will be held in the hall this Friday 24 August at R10 per person. There will also be lucky draw prizes up for grabs.

Raffle

Thank you to all those children who have returned 2 or more sheets so far. Some classes are doing really well with their sales. There is a lot of money to be won! I do hope we will have 100% of DPS children who are able to sell at least 1 full sheet.

School Fees

Please be advised that fees are payable a month in advance and that August fees should have already been paid. Thank you to those parents who see the value in our service delivery and have honoured their commitment to pay their fees. We salute you.
