A Cause for Concern:
Far too many DPS children are hanging around in the school grounds late in the afternoons. We lock the gates at 3:30 p.m., as all extra-murals cease at 3:15 p.m. This is necessary as we have found many senior pupils in the past gravitating towards the toilets and loitering in the corridors. Many High school pupils have been found on the premises after hours. We also need to make sure our school grounds are safe.
If you are unable to collect your children by 3:30 p.m., they must wait outside the Aftercare Department where Mr. Veerasamy and Mrs. Greeff are always available. You may then drive in and safely collect them there. We do not encourage our children to “hang around” on the pavements outside our school gates. Please make sure you are aware of the extra-mural activities they are participating in. If your children have been selected to play in matches, either away or at school, that will be later than 3:30 p.m., you will always be notified by the coaches.
Please support us as we endeavour to keep our children safe at all times.
Valentines Day:
Thank you for your wonderful support. After expenses we raised R10 000! Well done! It was such an exciting day.
Applications for High School:
A further reminder to put in your applications for High School. This is an extremely important life decision and you don’t want to leave it too late to have your choice of good a High School.
